Lifestyle, people, portrait groups photography and why I sometimes like to take many pictures …

On a shoot sometimes people are wondering why I am taking many images. It is because I continue as long as I need to capture the essence of the situation. As long as it takes to capture THE image, that sums it all up and where the expression is authentic and on brief. In a few words …. I only stop when the image feels right.

And this depends on all on the set. Because when you work with real people and even with actors the mood between the team members influences a lot. And many times there are tensions that make it a bit more difficult to have access to the person you have in front of the camera or even to the object you shoot. That is the moment when it takes some extra images. And luckily I always get best results and I am always ending up with many shots to select. And this is very welcome. 🙂

Another reason for some extra images is that in every shoot an idea has to come to life. And sometimes things need to undergo slight changes or new interpretation that can’t be planned before in theory. And this is good and part of the work. Shooting variations is like doing scribbles the classic painters did or like creatives do layouts these days. And again in the shoot the essence of the idea comes to life and it is worth to work until you can feel sure to have the best result.
